Attendance
Regular attendance at school is essential in ensuring your chid receives a good education. As parents, you have a legal duty to ensure your child receives a full time education. You may be prosecuted and fined for removing your child from school without authorisation. Only the headteacher can authorise absence from school, and absence requests are only authorised in exceptional circumstances.
Tracking Attendance
We track rates of attendance very closely and will contact you if your child’s attendance is a cause for concern. We may invite to into school to discuss the issue and work together to find a resolution. Attendance below 90% is a concern and considered ‘persistent’.
